The integration of Artificial Intelligence into the high school classroom represents a fundamental shift in the landscape of modern education. Rather than viewing these tools as a replacement for human intellect or a shortcut for academic labor, this manual positions AI as a sophisticated partner in the development of critical thinking and creative expression. By centering our instructional strategies on the Self-Determination Theory framework of Autonomy, Competence, and Relatedness (ACR), we ensure that technology serves to enhance, rather than diminish, the student’s sense of agency. The following activities are designed to move beyond the superficial use of generative tools, instead challenging students to audit, argue with, and refine digital outputs.
